Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) / SQL Analyst to join our team. The analyst will play a vital role in managing and maintaining the electronic exchange of information between our company and customers. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of EDI protocols, standards, and processes, as well as exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
In addition to maintaining data feed and processing schedules, the analyst will play a vital role in developing ad hoc queries and processing customer files that require a high level of detail and technical understanding of the benefit enrollment data. They will be responsible for client specific recurring tasks involving data analytics and providing client report deliverables.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Responsible for Data preparation, Data analysis and execution of requests that require data pull from various databases using SQL.
  • Writing SQL scripts, queries, and stored proceduresDevelops complex advancement reports using SQL, Microsoft Office and other utilities or languages as necessary
  • Work closely with benefits administration and development teams to support data pull requirements for customers while ensuring quality of data.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, execute data pull activities on benefits databases, secure approvals and import data.
  • Work across multiple teams, often with those who are remote.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technology technology-related field
  • At least three years of experience in an EDI service center is required.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, and Macros with the ability to write/modify/optimize queries based on requirements.
  • Comfortable working with multiple data sources, including SQL Server, Access, flat data files, and proprietary databases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or relevant field preferred
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess analytical skills
  • Must be able to comprehend, manipulate, and interpret statistical data
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
