This highly critical role is essential for the safe generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power. What You'll Be Doing - Building a Zero Harm commitment as you:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and construct high voltage power lines
- Perform high voltage switching procedures
- Conduct energized work within Minimum Approach Distance (MAD)
- Supervise and instruct hot Line Workers performing energized work
- Directly supervise and instruct cold Line Workers performing authorized energized work
- Adhere to Rio Tinto Kennecott Utah Copper safety standards
- Carry out various duties within power substations
- Accept on-call assignments
- Follow instructions from Supervisors related to operating or controlling assigned tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
- Journeyman Lineman Certificate
Beneficial Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of high voltage power systems, including operation, functions, and terminology
- Understanding of related laws, codes, and regulations
- CDL license (or willingness to acquire)
- Ability to train and instruct in all aspects of the Line trade
