Meet the Team

Cisco's SD-WAN vAnalytics team develops Cisco vAnalytics a cloud-based analytics service for Cisco SD-WAN offering comprehensive insights into application and network performance. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our SDWAN vAnalytics Cloud Infra & Services team.

Your Impact

This role will drive innovation in AI-powered analytics and automation, enabling the business to unlock new insights and efficiencies using the latest AWS Bedrock capabilities. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize advanced AI and machine learning solutions using AWS Bedrock and other AWS services. You will leverage foundation models to develop scalable generative AI applications, automate insights from multimodal data, and integrate AI-driven capabilities into data analytics platforms.

  • Generative AI Solution Development: Build, fine-tune, and deploy generative AI models using AWS Bedrock, selecting and integrating foundation models (e.g., Amazon Titan, Anthropic Claude, Stability AI) for tasks such as text generation, summarization, and multimodal content analysis
  • AI Workflow Automation: Automate end-to-end AI workflows, including data ingestion, transformation, and inference using AWS-native tools (e.g., Lambda, SageMaker, Kinesis), ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Integration & Deployment: Seamlessly integrate AI models with AWS data lakes, Redshift, and analytics services, enabling real-time insights and supporting Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and other advanced use cases
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions in AWS environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building, fine-tuning, and operationalizing generative AI models using AWS Bedrock, including experience with foundation models for text, image, and multimodal applications
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SageMaker, Kinesis, and Redshift.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with multi-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to evaluate and select appropriate foundation models to meet business requirements, with hands-on experience in customizing and deploying them via AWS Bedrock
  • Knowledge of AI workflow orchestration, monitoring, and cost optimization in serverless/cloud environments.
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), cloud security, and MLOps best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor peers and articulate technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • The successful applicant will be performing work in a FedRAMP environment, and therefore, be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.
