The Fitness Center Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Fitness Center, including managing fitness staff, approving new program or service offerings, implementing marketing initiatives, and reviewing membership services. This role critically impacts to the Fitness Center's success by setting operational objectives and ensuring policies and procedures are followed by staff members. |

Coordinates the daily work activities of the fitness center staff, including fitness specialists, group exercise coordinators, and personal trainers. Makes key personnel recommendations that are aligned with the Fitness Center's business objectives and is involved with interviewing, training, and evaluating staff. Teaches group exercise classes to meet the various fitness levels of class participants, always ensuring that safety guidelines are met. Recommends or approves new program offerings to promote broader wellness, increase revenue, and maximize service offerings. Oversees all aspects of membership including member orientation, retention, billing, systems, records, and communications. Ensures the fitness facility and equipment is safe and clean to provide an inviting environment. Performs other duties as assigned. |
EDUCATION: |
Required: Bachelor's Degree |
EXPERIENCE: |
Required: 3 years of related experience |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
Required: Nationally recognized certification such as ACSM, NASM AFAA or other NCCA- Accredited Certifications BLS/CPR certified by the American Red Cross of AHA Healthcare provider |
