Overview

Oversees the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, leads the close process, and partners across departments to maintain compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements. Drives process improvements and supports the scalability of finance operations as the business grows.



Responsibilities

    Oversees financial close processes and SEC reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Performs comprehensive review for accuracy and compliance.
  1. Helps implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud. Ensures compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), and corporate policies. Works with the controllers to maintain consistency in financial reporting and controls.
  2. Supports external and internal audits by providing required documentation and responding to requests.
  3. Assists with cash flow forecasting and working capital management. Monitors bank reconciliations and cash transactions.
  4. Manages AR team to ensure efficient billing and collections and AP team to ensure accurate reporting and timely vendor payments.
  5. Supports income tax filings and compliance. Leads sales and use tax filings and compliance.
  6. Works with IT and finance teams to enhance systems and financial reporting tools. Identifies and implements automation and process improvements to increase efficiency.
  7. Supports merger and acquisition due diligence and integration activities.
  8. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; department budget.
  9. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Job Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of SEC Reporting, US GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley/internal control processes.
  • Working knowledge and experience with ERP and consolidation systems.
  • Effective technical and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively to build relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce a high-level work product within deadlines and budget.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA active license preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum seven years of experience in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Previous experience in public accounting preferred.
