Hourly Pay Range:

$24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Position: Research Coordinator-Pulmonary
  • Location: Evanston, IL & locations to other sites will be required
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday
  • Required Travel: possible travel to study start-up meetings

Position Summary:

Under general supervision from physician investigators, Research Managers and the Administrative Director, Endeavor Health, identifies, recruits and enrolls patients for clinical studies. Obtains consent and specimens, administers questionnaires, enters study data into computer files and case report forms, abstracts charts, assists in preparation of materials for presentation and publication. Is responsible and accountable for assessing, implementing and evaluating the delivery of subject/patient care while fulfilling the daily requirements of clinical research protocols. This position is accountable for monitoring the safety and well-being of all study participants. Clinical research experience, computer literacy, regulatory submissions, consent process experience a plus.

This position may also assist with the following: regulatory document maintenance, data governance submissions, and IRB processing in compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional research regulations. Assist and provide oversight of site initiation visits and external audits. The position will assist Research staff in training new employees on research good clinical practice, consenting, treating and monitoring of patients. The position maintains a collaborative relationship with Principal Investigators, Co-investigators, inter-departmental staff and research administration staff, in addition to representatives of outside sponsoring companies and/or agencies. Clinical duties include phlebotomy, ECGs and investigational drug pharmacy duties.

What you will do:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state and Federal regulations for the protection of human subjects
  • Complete regulatory submissions/revisions for the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
  • Communicate and coordinate with physicians, division staff, and other departmental study personnel as required for study design, implementation and completion
  • Complete data abstraction and data entry for study specific databases.
  • Review and timely report study related adverse events to the sponsor.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, in the fields of social, biological or healthcare sciences preferred
  • Experience: 1-5 years of research experience
  • Experience with phlebotomy, ECG and pharmacy practices preferred
