Research and Program Evaluation Specialist

Description Researches, designs, and implements procedures to study individual school or divisionwide programs, services, projects, and initiatives aligned with the division's strategic priorities; utilizes various data collection techniques to plan, design, and implement research studies; produces quantitative and qualitative analyses and reporting with recommendations for Leadership decision-making; analyzes educational programs for school improvement; consults with and provides technical assistance to schools, regions, and central office administrators regarding evaluation and research activities.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in in education, social science, statistics, research analysis, or related field.
- Four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in educational research, assessment, and/or program evaluation.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Knowledge of program evaluation, methodology, advanced statistical analysis, qualitative, and quantitative educational research methods.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the development of surveys, research design, data collection methods, and statistics.
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations to include those related to education data sources, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in the use of technology including statistical analysis software, such as SPSS, and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Skill in writing reports that present technical data to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to perceive organizational implications of conclusions and recommendations.
- Ability to apply effective organizational and project management skills and meet timelines.
- Ability to present research and evaluation findings to groups such as school administrators or senior management.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other school personnel and other administrators.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
- Master's degree in education, social science, statistics, research analysis, or a related field.
Salary Range $88,019 - $149,779
