Description

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Work within and maintain the site calibration program. Liaison with Calibration vendors to provide calibration and maintenance technical activities as well as coordinating calibration scheduling between bioMerieux departments serviced by the Calibration Department and vendors.

  • Work within and maintain the Calibration Program.
  • Review calibration documentation and labeling.
  • Maintain and update calibration records and database to ensure accurate documentation; data entry into the Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management (BMRAM) system.
  • Communicate with internal customers and vendors to schedule and coordinate calibration activities, both onsite and offsite.
  • Work directly with the calibration vendor/s to address any calibration issues that arise with equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Participate in audits and assist in implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide summary of calibration and investigation activities to management.
  • Provide training and support to BMX personnel on calibration and asset management procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain Asset Management Criticality program.
  • Other assigned duties, as needed.

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or Business Admin, or other related field with 2+ years of applicable calibration experience in an ISO/cGMP manufacturing environment
    • Equivalent military training (PMEL) accepted in lieu of Associate's degree
  • Knowledge of calibration, required.
  • Working knowledge of Blue Mountain, or equivalent calibration CMMS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with various departments.
  • Must be able to complete multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong decision making skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and time management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other relevant software
