Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Administrator to provide technical support for voice and video systems at Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Jabber, T-Metrics Automated Call Distribution (ACD), and other VoIP technologies.
  • Maintain and support Telepresence Management Suite (TMS), Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), and VTC solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, backups, and maintenance logs to ensure optimal voice and video network operations.
  • Manage firmware updates, security patches, and system upgrades to maintain compliance with DISA STIGs and Army cybersecurity policies.
  • Implement and maintain DISA STIG configurations for UC systems.
  • Secure VoIP systems by monitoring unauthorized access, ensuring encryption protocols are enforced, and maintaining network segmentation.
  • Respond to and resolve end-user issues related to voice and video communications, documenting solutions in a ticketing system.
  • Provide remote and in-person troubleshooting for VoIP phones, softphones, video conferencing endpoints, and call management systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis on network-related issues affecting UC services and implement permanent fixes.
  • Support network operations by monitoring call quality, diagnosing connectivity problems, and optimizing voice/video traffic.
  • Answer calls and tickets to assist end-users with applications, hardware, software, and networking issues related to UC Voice/Video services.
  • Regularly monitor, analyze, and optimize VoIP and video performance to ensure high availability and low latency.
  • Assist in network expansions, VoIP system migrations, and the integration of new telephony features.


Qualifications

6+ years experience in network administration, voice/video communications, and IT support. Bachelor's degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with IAT Level II). Must hold a Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA) or be able to obtain within six months of start date. Extensive knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications technologies, VoIP, and VTC solutions. Experience troubleshooting and maintaining UC systems in a DoD/Army environment. Strong background in diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues both remotely and in person. Able to create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and end-user guides. Experience with VoIP security. Hands-on experience with ACAS, HBSS, and DoD network security tools. Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
