Position Summary |
Serving as Program Manager for Outreach and Education Programs at the University of Georgia's Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, this position, based in Aiken, S.C., reports to the Director of the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory. This role encompasses 0.70
EFT in administration and 0.30
EFT in Outreach. The Program Manager provides management and supervisory oversight for SREL's four outreach and public relations personnel, including the planning and evaluation of program scope and content, and the planning and evaluation of public relations activities and events. Strategic planning for
SREL Outreach programs is a key responsibility. The position may also oversee
SREL support staff involved in the coordination of undergraduate experiential learning and training programs.
Contributing to the vision and strategic direction of SREL's outreach programming, public engagement initiatives, and formal experiential learning programs is central to this role. The Program Manager also supports the development and delivery of
SREL. |

- Demonstrated evidence of funding development and budget management skills.
- Demonstrated evidence of communications and personnel management skills and evidence of supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated evidence of development and delivery of outreach programming and experience with the delivery of outreach programming via social media.
- Demonstrated evidence of experience with undergraduate experiential learning programs and experience with graduate education programs
- Basic knowledge of strategic planning for outreach and education programs. with demonstrated potential to establish and maintain effective working relationships with SREL faculty, support staff, academic and federal partners, and the general public.
