Summary of Objective:

The objective of the Accounts Payable Specialist position is to make timely vendor payments with the right controls and diligence. Maintain accurate data, have positive and good relationship with suppliers, and research way to be more efficient in our payable process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.

  • Accounts Payable data entry into ERP system.
  • Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers
  • Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, and resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
  • Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing invoices for payment.
  • Research information to provide accurate and timely solutions to internal clients and vendors at multiple locations.
  • Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and confirm that the correct general ledger account codes are used.
  • Generate payment to vendors on a routine schedule and match the check with backup for review by the financial manager.
  • Inspect paid and unpaid invoices including cleared payment inquiries and check voiding to maintain accurate files and records according to company standards.
  • Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding and authorization as well as sufficient contracts and documentation.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Strong Micorosoft Excel skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent commiuncaitons skills
  • Ability to display excellent time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
