The Site Lead (SL) will provide overall technical and administrative management for all staff under supporting the environmental work at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC). These responsibilities include coordination and integration of all environmental programs to include air emissions management, hazardous materials management, hazardous waste/municipal solid waste management, and the management and oversight of storage tanks/petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL), spill response, and wastewater management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall compliance management, including coordination and integration of the compliance program.
  • Interpret environmental regulations as they apply to AFRC activities and provide guidance on regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with the COR regarding discussions with regulatory agencies as they represent AFRC.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of all Call Order requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with the Contracting Officer/COR.
  • Designate an alternate SL during temporary absences and notify the COR.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in environmental or science/engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a direct supervisor of personnel.
  • At least 10 years of professional-level environmental work experience directly related to the technical elements/requirements in the PWS.

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
