Wieland is hiring an Aluminum Cell Operator. The Aluminum Cell Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating the draw bench to draw tubing to required size listed on specifications, as well as, preparing and utilizing various machinery within the Bench Dept. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: 20.21/hr.

Schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Aluminum Cell Operator Responsibilities:

Sets up and operates Draw bench to draw tubing to required size listed on specifications.
• Prepares and utilizes the application of the Autosaw machine to cut product to acceptable specifications.
• Prepares and utilizes the application of the Finish saw machine to cut tubing to required size listed on specifications.
• Operates the Rotary Straightener by loading tubing into the guide and holding the material while traveling through the straightener, if necessary.
• Sets up and operates a pointing machine to prepare stock for the bench operation.
• Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate.
• Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes to effectively complete tasks.
• Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the "next customer" in a timely manner.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work environment
• Performs Draw Bench set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheet)
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine's training evaluation form.
• Able to work various overtime as business needs require.
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed.

Aluminum Cell Operator Qualifications:

• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP's.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices.
