Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a AFRC Air Emissions Management Program Specialist (3511) in Edwards, CA.

The Air Emissions Management Program Specialist will manage all aspects of the air emissions program, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations at the NASA Armstroung Flight Research Center (AFRC). This role involves preparing permit applications, conducting visible emissions observations, and providing training on air quality compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all permit applications, updates, and waivers in accordance with regulations.
  • Facilitate and participate in pre-application meetings and review draft permits.
  • Conduct visible emissions observations and ensure compliance with air emissions regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain air quality compliance training materials and present training.
  • Track training and certifications and maintain records to show compliance with training requirements.
  • Provide compliance oversight for all applicable Air Quality rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in environmental or science/engineering.
  • At least 10 years of direct experience, including local and state regulatory requirements, related to the technical elements/requirements in the PWS (Section 3.1, Air Emissions Management).

Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
