Empath Health is currently seeking a Regional Director of Business Development to join our team. The Regional Director of Business Development will be overseeing the daily sales activities, meeting with referral sources and stakeholders in the community, writing and interpreting sales reports, designing effective sales strategies, marketing company services and aligning with our Mission, Vision and Values at Empath Health.

The Regional Director of Business Development:

  • Provides leadership to Business Development Liaisons which includes managing, training, coaching and providing overall guidance to the Business Development team of an assigned territory.
  • Is accountable for the business development support budget and assigning goals and targets to be achieved by the Business Development team.
  • Leads business development change initiatives and removes obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.
  • Establishes and maintains productive peer to peer relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Identifies where improvements can be made and develops sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Monitors performance of the Business Development team and motivates members to meet and exceed sales targets.

    Position Requirements:

    • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in marketing communications, business or a healthcare related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years leading Business Development teams strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years' experience working in a selling role and with sales technology and CRM software strongly preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques.
    • Strong working knowledge of healthcare specifically Hospice, and the market.
