*Description:*
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for welcoming and initiating contact with patient families to obtain necessary registration and insurance information. This role involves registering patients by following established department guidelines and ensuring that all patient accounts flow through the revenue cycle without errors caused by lack of insurance verification, incomplete or inaccurate demographic information, or other registration-related errors. *Key Responsibilities:* * Patient Interaction: Greet and engage with patient families to collect essential registration and insurance details. * Registration Process: Accurately register patients in the system, adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines. * Insurance Verification: Verify insurance information to prevent errors in the revenue cycle. * Data Accuracy: Ensure all demographic and registration information is complete and accurate to avoid any delays or issues in patient account processing. * Revenue Cycle Management: Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of patient accounts through the revenue cycle. * Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. *Skills Required:* * Customer Service: Strong ability to interact with patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner. * Data Entry: Proficient in entering data accurately and efficiently. * Patient Access: Knowledge of patient access procedures and protocols. * Microsoft Office: Competent in using Microsoft Office applications. * Epic Software: Experience with Epic Software for patient registration and account management. *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient access or customer service roles. * Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and information verification. * Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve registration-related issues promptly. * Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless patient account management. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
