Job Description

We are hiring a No-Fault / PIP Paralegal Specialist to support attorneys in No-Fault and insurance defense litigation. The ideal candidate has direct experience with New York No-Fault (PIP) litigation, including court filings, discovery management, and case preparation.
This is a hybrid position, and the candidate must be able to report to the Garden City, NY office at least once every two weeks, or more frequently if business needs require.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and serve legal documents including answers, motions, and discovery responses
  • Manage case files and assist with trial and arbitration preparation
  • Review files, organize and exchange discovery, and coordinate document production
  • Communicate directly with clients, claim representatives, and opposing counsel
  • File documents electronically via NYSCEF and ensure filing compliance
  • Apply knowledge of the No-Fault Fee Schedule in litigation support

Education

  • Bachelor's degree AND at least 1 year of paralegal experience, OR
  • Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved preferred) AND at least 2 years of paralegal experience

Experience

  • New York No-Fault (PIP) litigation experience, including working knowledge of the No-Fault Fee Schedule
  • Experience with No-Fault discovery responses, support documentation, and related filings (90-day demands, coder affidavits, etc.)
  • Familiarity with SIU litigation, arbitration, and legal hold procedures
  • Strong legal writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management tools

Location Requirement:

  • Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Garden City, NY. Eligible counties include: Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Kings (Brooklyn), Bronx, New York (Manhattan), Richmond (Staten Island), Westchester, and Rockland.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $26.20 - 41.84 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
