Job Description
Coordinates and participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of accredited continuing education programs in compliance with Joint Accreditation criteria. Assists the leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education activities.
Job Responsibility
1.Develops, coordinates, and supports accredited continuing education, including, Conferences, Regular Scheduled Series (RSS), enduring activities and related services to be in alignment with all applicable Joint Accreditation criteria.
2.Collaborates with leadership in scheduling and developing programs by educating them about Joint Accreditation criteria and developing content that is consistent with planning criteria for interprofessional continuing education; develops and maintains individual program budget.
3.Develops education and training programs about accredited education.
4.Oversees staff in conference planning and implementation for format, location, conference and catering arrangements, audio-visual equipment and conference materials, abiding by ACCME requirements and guidelines.
5.Compiles reports and participant evaluations to ensure compliance with commercial support, joint sponsorship and ACCME guidelines.
6.Collects, reviews, and verifies faculty disclosure information and resolves any conflicts of interest; ensures that faculty disclosure and commercial support information is communicated to participants before each program.
7.Keeps leadership informed on status of faculty member disclosure, and collaborates with leadership in list selections, mailing strategy and program announcement placement.
8.Reviews applications and makes recommendations for changing narratives for course development.
9.Provides guidance on course formats which requires understanding of adult learning theory.
10.Performs related duties as required.
Job Qualification
*Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
*1-3 years of relevant experience, required
Strong organizational skills, preferred.
Experience in continuing medical education administration (specifically related to cancer), preferred.
