Job Summary
Provides strategic direction and coordination for Corewell Health's Value Analysis, Value Based Supplier Partnerships, and Supply Chain Utilization Management programs while providing high level clinical and supply chain support to the organization. Accountable for the development and management of strategies to standardize products, to provide the best clinical value and outcomes for Corewell Health and the communities it serves. Oversees the successful operation of Delivery System Value Analysis Teams, strategically growing and maturing the Value Analysis program in alignment with System goals and initiatives. Leads efforts to develop practice standardization and cost reduction initiatives across the organization. Partners with key physicians, clinicians, operational leadership, and sourcing professionals to drive system standardization of product selection and utilization. Ensures integration of additional hospitals and/or ambulatory sites into Delivery System clinical product standards.

Responsible for upholding a culture that fosters accountability, promotes clinical outcomes, and enhances optimal supply spend system wide. Collaborate with system and service line leadership and procurement to achieve year-over-year savings targets, while ensuring quality and service levels.

Partner with clinical experts, operational leaders, and suppliers to ensure optimal care is provided to patients with minimal disruptions or delays resulting from product concerns and/or unavailability.

Identifies growth strategies for Supply Chain Clinical Integration and Value Analysis at the service line and system level. Promotes the development of system-wide standard work and drives continuous improvement throughout the enterprise. Develops and implements innovative methods for internal and external stakeholder collaboration to provide added value to the organization. Incorporates relevant benchmarking and metrics to measure success and further promote assigned programs both inside Corewell Health and within the healthcare industry.
Essential Functions
  • Develop and provide direction for Value Analysis strategies across the Delivery System, including product selection, utilization management and clinical standardization within the Product Formulary.
  • Ensure quality data, clinical evidence and financial analysis are used within clinical service lines to drive informed decisions that align with organizational strategies.
  • Manage Value Analysis team to effectively collaborate with clinicians as well as clinical and operational leaders to optimize product and service selection, ensuring fiscal responsibility and clinical standardization based upon best practice.
  • Work directly with Procurement leadership to oversee the design and execution of large-scale savings initiatives.
  • Lead teams to effectively monitor product utilization, clinical outcomes, and clinical satisfaction. Ensure clinical expectations are met or exceeded and assist in resolution of quality concerns.
  • Engage industry peers to develop innovative strategies for collaboration during complex, unexpected, and/or severe disruptions to product availability.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Healthcare Related
  • 7 years of relevant deep understanding of clinical supplies and have worked closely with clinical staff on value analysis experience
  • 5 years of relevant leadership experience
  • Experience working in an organization of size and complexity comparable to Corewell Health

Preferred

  • Master's Degree Nursing or Healthcare Related
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP) preferred
