About the role:

Energoatom is a public enterprise operating 4 nuclear plants in Ukraine. The scope of this project will be to assist in building, purchasing, training and qualifying a Nuclear Fuel Fabrication facility in Ukraine for Energoatom. This position will initially require extensive time on site at the Westinghouse Columbia Fuels Facility, with the possibility to later transition into a full-time remote position. No travel to Ukraine is required for this position.

As a Principal Quality Engineer Energoatom you will ensure contractual and Westinghouse quality program requirements are incorporated into project planning documents.

You will report to the Program Manager Energoatom and be located at Columbia, SC and work in a hybrid work environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Review design engineering documentation to verify compliance with technical QA requirements for design, manufacture, construction and installation of nuclear fuel.



  • Identify deviations that could create safety/environmental hazards or cause malfunctions.



  • Help create a data package for the customer based on current program.



  • Provide consultation to Customer and personnel on quality program questions.



  • Be the quality liaison/coordinator for relevant Program.



  • Consult on Development of QA procedures and qualification of new plant operations.



  • Contribute to training department for training development on quality procedures.



  • Help with training personnel on basics of quality program.



  • Help with oversight new equipment and FAT tests to ensure equipment can meet quality program process.




Qualifications:


  • BS in an engineering discipline.



  • 5- 10years in a manufacturing environment (level will be determined based on years of experience)



  • Nuclear Experience is desired but not required



  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
