Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the maintenance department at the CDTF. This position has the additional responsibility to act in the Project Manager's behalf when not available. Seen below are some of the essential duties.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for daily maintenance activities & service order needs being completed in contract required timelines.
  • Maintains all facility maintenance documentation in an orderly fashion.
  • Responsible for coordination of site work schedule which meets the 24hr/365-day requirements.
  • Coordinates offsite vendor maintenance requirements.
  • Responsible for maintenance staff training/certification requirements are being met.
  • Must maintain requirements to work in toxic area.
  • Must inspect maintenance work performed in toxic area.
  • Does procurement duties.
  • Full understanding of the contract requirements for all sections.
  • Serves as the Project Manager as needed and fills in during the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Informs the Project Manager of non-conformance issues relating to the contract


Assist the Project Manager in the following tasks



  • Administrative tasks in support of planning, scheduling, and controlling maintenance tasks/work
  • Property accountability and inventory management
  • Operation of the Controlled Documents System
  • Facility Maintenance (buildings, structures, appurtenances, utilities)
  • Grounds Maintenance
  • Protective Clothing and Equipment
  • Toxic Training Support Services
  • Air Monitoring
  • Facility Control Center
  • Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Quality and Safety Control
  • Preparing and Submitting Contract Deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to all safety practices and procedures while performing or supervising tasks
  • Coordinate and supervise assigned project staff, vendors, and subcontracted workers
  • Generate quality of work product in accordance with company quality control protocols
  • Prepare written reports and other documents necessary for the completion of specific products
  • Train and mentor subordinate staff
  • Track project schedules and budgets


Qualifications



  • Bachelor or higher degree or certification within a related discipline (e.g., building or facility infrastructure, mechanical or electrical engineering, industrial management, or other) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a mechanical or electrical tradesman
  • Supervisory and resource management experience comparable in complexity and responsibility for a mechanical, electrical, maintenance workforces that exceeds 7 or more personnel
  • Documented evidence of successful project management (operations and maintenance) experience
  • Experience conducting facility operations and maintenance within OSHA standards.
  • Must meet facility and Fort Leonard Wood security and access requirements
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and Applications


  • Experienced technician for minimum of 4 years in a related field.
