Currently seeking evening and weekend availability

Job Objective:

As a Facilities Staff Member you will assist the Facilities Director in all aspects of the grounds, buildings, and operations of the facilities, including repair and service to preserve the functionality of the facility and grounds, as well as maintaining a clean safe facility at all times. All done while ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.

What You Will Do: .



  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all private and public areas to assure that users of the facility receive safe, effective and acceptable service.
  • Maintain the facilities by cleaning, repairing, and replacing fixtures and equipment as necessary to assure a safe and productive facility.
  • Adhere to, and if necessary, reorganize daily custodial schedule of the building internally and externally. This includes but is not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, cleaning windows, vacuuming, emptying trash, etc.
  • Maintain the grounds including landscaping, snow removal, property upkeep, security, traffic control of outside venues etc. under the supervision and instruction of the Facility Director
  • Assist in the execution of events as directed by a supervisor.


  • Other tasks as assigned by leadership



Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency

Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed. Findings may disqualify an individual for this position

Experience: Demonstrated ability to work without supervision.

Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 30 days of employment.

Skills/Abilities:



  • Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele

Physical Requirements Include:



  • Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity
  • Lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 50 pounds
  • May require bending, squatting, walking
  • May require standing for extended periods


Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office and warehouse facility. Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
