IVF Lab Tech (Fertility center) Per diem Dayshift

POSITION SUMMARY:
To perform technical laboratory testing in order to facilitate optimum patient care in accordance with Pathology policy and procedures, and FDA, CAP, AABB OSHA, CLIA and JCAHO regulations.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological OR Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training PLUS one year laboratory experience.
EXPERIENCE:
One year or more andrology/endocrine experience or one year embryology experience required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Consistent with New Jersey Department of Health technical personnel qualifications, i.e. CLIA. Endocrine and Andrology experience preferred. Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the health-care delivery team and staff. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and assist in meeting the patient's needs.
