Job Description

Advise students with interest in the Trulaske College of Business regarding issues such as degree requirements, choosing a major, academic standing concern, course registration and other concerns.

85% Advise undergraduate business students or students who want to be business majors:
* Track progress for applying to the upper level
* Check graduation requirements
* Counsel on career preparation
* Academic counseling
* Advise students regarding students schedule
* Advise students wanting to change major to business
* Work with academic standing
* Maintain communication with advise-es
* Evaluate transcripts
* Referrals
* Transitional Advising
* Assist with the college's graduation

5% Assist with the development of programming for Trulaske College of Business students

10% Other duties as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Advising.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Occasional evening and weekends

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree

Prefer experience 1 - 2 years working in higher education serving as an advisor to students

Knowledge of academic policies and student affairs is also beneficial

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $38,480.00 - $55,000.00

Grade: 008
