The Associate Director of International Admissions is responsible for all aspects of international student admissions, recruitment, and enrollment to meet targeted enrollment goals for the campus and University. The Associate Director will also assist the Director of International Admissions by providing high-level support in planning recruitment strategies and the annual marketing plan, maintaining continuous contact with prospective students during the admissions process, extensive outreach, analyzing data and staying current on industry and campus news that could impact the international admissions field.

This position requires significant overnight travel and attendance at high school visits, college fair programs, and numerous other events throughout the year. Additional responsibilities include oversight of special programs and coordination of participation in ERAU events and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • International Recruitment - Lead recruitment efforts in assigned territories, manage student communications, evaluate travel strategies, and represent the university at events.

  • Credential Evaluation & Application Review - Assess international academic records, ensure alignment with admission standards, and make admission decisions.

  • Strategy & Leadership - Support strategic planning, supervise team members, analyze market data, and coordinate handoffs to student services.

  • Administrative & Campus Engagement - Organize events, prepare reports, and collaborate across campus to support international admissions initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with cultural sensitivity and professionalism when engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage projects, and follow through on responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 16 weeks per year), including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport and driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and general internet applications.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with an understanding of information systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience.
  • Attentiveness to detail, strong interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability with enrollment information database systems (preferably Campus Solutions and Salesforce).
  • Experience with the foreign credential evaluation process.
