Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a GIS Analyst with data maintenance and/or GIS experience preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team! Role Summary: * The GIS Analyst is an entry-level GIS role with various responsibilities to support Buckeye's GIS program. Responsibilities & Essential Functions include: * GIS Program Support. Supporting the implementation of Buckeye's GIS programs including, but not limited to, o Performing and/or assisting with data collection tasks as assigned by GIS staff. o Providing data maintenance support as directed by and with oversight from GIS staff. o Performing basic data analysis, using common geoprocessing tools. o Following instruction for more complex analyses. o Executing job functions with understanding of data quality control procedures. o Performing data validation exercises to ensure data quality. * Data Integration and Management. Supporting various data integration efforts by performing data entry, editing, and/or validation tasks. * Customer Service. Delivering on ad-hoc and routine data and map requests for internal customers, limited in scope and as directed by GIS staff. * Stakeholder Engagement. Maintaining good communication and engagement with direct participants in projects or work tasks. * Department Support. Provided support for Asset Integrity Team members. * And other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: * Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent coursework required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Experience: Typically, 0-3 years of relevant experience * Special skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications required. * Special skills: Competency with ESRI suite of products preferred. * Special skills: Competency with SQL, FME (or other ETL tool), Python or other programming languages is helpful. * Travel Requirements: 5% of travel possible.
