*Job Description:*
TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced *Cable Technician* for one of our clients in Wilmington, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems for a large commercial space of approximately one million square feet, supporting Amazon Robotics. This role requires a strong understanding of cabling standards and excellent technical skills. *Responsibilities:* * Install, test, and troubleshoot various types of cabling including fiber optics, CAT5e, CAT6, and coaxial. * Ensure all installations meet industry standards and customer specifications. * Perform site surveys and provide accurate project estimates. * Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues. * Maintain accurate documentation of installations and repairs. * Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion. * Adhere to safety protocols and company policies. * Pull and install cables efficiently and safely. * Demonstrate a willingness to learn cable termination techniques. *Requirements:* * Prior experience with commercial cabling projects. * Strong knowledge of cabling standards and best practices. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. * Excellent problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, RCDD) are a plus. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
