SUMMARY

The Recruitment Assistant helps ensure the efficient and productive operation of the Human Resources Department by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Aid in the hiring process, including obtaining references, background checks and other credentials of applicants.
  • Other hiring assistance necessary including screening and interviewing external applicants.
  • Assist in the setup and running of Career Open House events.
  • Provides regular updates to management staff regarding applicants and new hires.
  • Prepare for New Hire Orientation by preparing new hire packets, prepare new hire letters and new hire in-service record sheets.
  • Completes the Onboarding process with New Hires.
  • Provide pin numbers to all new employees, including providing gas pins and Key Fobs.
  • Collect all required New Hire paperwork and documentation. Inform management when new hires are cleared to start in their positions.
  • Create employee identification badges for new employees.
  • Complete required Monthly Report data.
  • Keeps various HR files, which may include but is not limited to personnel, medical, background, separated personnel, separated medical, application, worker's comp, and in-service files.
  • Assists with major HR projects (i.e. open enrollment, mailings, Employee Benefit Day, Staff
  • Recognition Celebrations, filing, copying and mailing files).
  • Complete requisitions for invoices received (i.e. fingerprint background checks).
  • Acts as the primary contact during the new hire training week and until cleared to work
  • Provides support and problem-solving to the new hires during training week and until cleared to work



PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES



  • Proficiency in various computer systems: Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft 360, Dayforce.
  • Skill in multitasking and prioritizing job duties in order to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skill in effective and professional verbal and written communication with Marrakech customers, management and staff.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • A High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience working in an office setting and working knowledge of computers including e-mail, Microsoft word and excel is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to accurately type.
  • Good writing and verbal skills.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  • Valid Connecticut driver's license

  • M-F 8a-4:30p (30 min lunch)
