The Bureau of Motor Vehicle is hiring a Clerical Assistant 2 who will be responsible for examining and processing applications to become an "authorized agent" of the Commonwealth. This employee will review applications for messenger, card agent, dealer, miscellaneous motor vehicle business dealer, salvor or is responsible for the processing of applications relating to the issuance of dealer plates and renewals. The Clerical Assistant 2 will provide clerical support to the entire dealer unit by answering questions related to dealers, full agents, and messengers.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 will be responsible for the examination of applications submitted to become an "authorized dealer or miscellaneous motor vehicle business" of the department. The employee must enter information into the Dealer Agent Service System (DAS) that is forwarded to a Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) for a site review. Upon approval from the QAO the employee issues a permanent authorization card. Additional responsibilities include maintaining records pertaining to a card agent, messenger, dealer, miscellaneous motor vehicle business dealer or salvor, the examination and processing of application(s) for dealer registration plates or dealer registration plate renewals and replacement of plate(s) in DAS and correcting any errors and accounting for money received to process the applications. Additional duties include the maintenance of plates through DAS, for placing or removing stops on DAS, and ensuring that the monthly dealer renewals are mailed out through the Output Control Section.

- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
