See Yourself as a Transaction Management Associate

The Transaction Management Associate is responsible for managing an assigned pipeline of closed mortgage loans that will be included in GSE (government sponsored enterprise) deliveries, whole loan sales, or securitization transactions. The role involves due-diligence loan review and validating loan data to ensure compliance, completeness, and accuracy. The Transaction Management Associate will also interact with 3rd party due-diligence vendors and collaborate with counterparties to address conditions on loans for purchase or sale. Proficiency with spreadsheets is necessary for reporting and pipeline management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform a due diligence review of closed mortgage loans, including income and asset documentation, credit and fraud reports, Automated Underwriting System (AUS) findings, valuation assessments, and compliance requirements.

  • Cite loan conditions pertaining to missing documents or information necessary to comply with program guidelines.

  • Coordinate with sellers to clear conditions necessary for loan purchases.

  • Collaborate with investors and third-party due diligence review vendors to clear conditions.

  • Complete data validation by confirming and reconciling critical loan values.

  • Evaluate loans to determine their eligibility for credit exceptions.

  • Manage loan review transaction timelines with internal and external parties to ensure review within service level expectations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications:

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • Work Experience: 5 or more years of prior work related experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage operations (underwriting, processing, post-closing review, or mortgage loan correspondent trading operations).

  • Familiarity with credit, compliance, and collateral conditions and TPR securitization reports.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to review, interpret and communicate mortgage underwriting guidelines.

  • Attention to detail and the capability to produce highly accurate results.

  • Self-starter and self-reliant, capable of working within and meeting deadlines. Able to take ownership and complete tasks.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Working knowledge of Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures (TRID) requirements.
