Department OverviewThe Global Operations department partners with each of Motorola Solutions' go-to-market functions across the globe. Within Global Operations, the "Office of the COO" program supports the analysis, process automation and strategic objectives of our Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff to the COO and other executive stakeholders. Job Description

The Global Business Operations Analyst will assist with defining and reporting on key metrics that drive executive level decision making. The role will also be responsible for expansion and improvement of our already existing analytics, ensuring we are truly "measuring what matters". This person will also identify and implement more automated processes to increase accuracy and reduce cycle time. The analyst will be involved in key strategic projects that continue streamlining operations across Motorola Solutions. This person will report to the Global Business Operations Program lead.

The person in role can expect to spend their time focused on 3 major "buckets" -
1) Support Executive Dashboard & Analytics Development - continuous improvement of our existing dashboards. This includes ensuring current metrics are aggregated and reported on in a timely & accurate fashion. Additionally, we will constantly evaluate that we are measuring value-added metrics and evolve the program to meet the ever changing needs of the business.
2) Assist with Process Enhancement & Automation - We are constantly fighting the inertia that pulls business towards complex, manual processes. This person will help stage a daily rebellion against that inertia to ensure our processes are simple, repeatable and automated.
3) Special Projects - This role will contain an element of "flavor of the month" as new questions or challenges arise the role will be asked periodically to lead or support projects across global operations, sales operations, sales compensation, and other related functions. The person in the role will be expected to work with the people in the aforementioned functions in addition to Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Information Technology, Corporate Strategy among others.

We are seeking a new professional with some experience in Operations, Finance, Consulting, Strategy or related fields.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

  • Proven ability to learn quickly and work independently

  • Analytical and strategic in thought process

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively as part of a team

  • Clear and concise communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or related field

  • 0-2 years of experience in Business Operations, Data & Analytics, Strategy, Finance, or related field

  • Basic understanding of business strategy

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Target Base Salary Range

$58,700.00 - $108,600.00

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
