As Product Program Manager, New Product Introduction and Growth, you will manage a complex investment portfolio of multiple related projects that span functions, organizations, geographic regions or cultures. You will oversee and hold accountable matrixed team members to deliver global Product Management objectives, while also partnering with business leaders to set strategy and to capture growth opportunities that advance strategic and business objectives. Also, the program manager has advanced skills in finance, cross-cultural awareness, leadership, communication, and conflict resolution. You will report to the Director, Global Product Management and Growth, and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA facility. This role is eligible for a mobile working arrangement and is expected to be on site in Cranberry 1-2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the bridge between product management & execution within the TRS Product Management & Growth team; lead strategic execution of the technology vision TRS to support global growth goals for the organization.
Define and lead New Product Introduction projects and assign and obtain project managers to manage cost, schedule and performance of component projects, while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the program. Direct the authoring of project plans including developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
Ensure program sub-projects are delivered within budget. Oversee all work activities and motivate to increase performance. Manage program resource assignments (labor, equipment, supplier, etc.) to ensure program goals are achievable.
Maintain alignment of the portfolios with strategic business objectives and make recommendations to modify the portfolio investments to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent. Provide leadership to train technical and project management personnel to resolve issues during project execution. Implement improvement opportunities which will add value.
Align global stakeholder (e.g. team, customer, suppliers, Westinghouse in-country representation, etc.)expectations to achieve overall acceptance of program goals. Recognize the dynamic human aspects of each program stakeholder's expectations and manage accordingly. Communicate program interdependencies and requirements, find and address risks, and resolve conflicts and issues.
Work with the team to prioritize demand, both within a portfolio and across the function.
Provide mentorship in a matrix environment to ensure career development plans are in place for team members to deliver the most up-to-date and accurate information.
Ensure governance with Innovation and NPI Processes, as well as all financial processes.
Work across the LTO organization to lead and advocate for adoption of TRS products/services.
Organize & drive technology & product roadmap actions, with a focus on the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Digital solutions.
Lead all project health reviews for DOS, Training, and Simulation & Control Rooms following MPSR requirements.
Direct responsibility to develop appropriate reports/communications for overall portfolio health to executive leadership.
Direct overall capacity planning & integration with the SIOP process to identify and fulfill TRS resource needs from GES & D&I; escalate resource shortfalls to TRS executives for resolution.
Recommend projects to continue or close based on business readiness and technology readiness.
Advocate for Digital & Artificial Intelligence adoption and seek opportunities for cross-BU projects within Westinghouse.
Qualifications:
10+ years project management and/or product management experience in higher levels of complexity.
B.S. degree in Business Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
Advanced skills in finance, cross-cultural awareness, leadership, communication, and conflict resolution with experience commercializing and marketing software solutions in a Business-to-Businessenvironment in an industrial context
Familiarity with the nuclear and energy environmentsincluding utility business practices, utility operations, maintenance and engineering practices
Background in applying customer feedback, commercial constraints, and team feedback/product management engagement to solve pain points and produce value based onreturn on investment
Experience working in a global regulated environment
