Title: Quality Technician

Salary: Starting Wage $19.00 per hour and up

Quality Technicians assist the entire production team as the customer's voice in implementing, maintaining, and improving the quality system. Utilizes extensive participation and the application of problem-solving techniques and lean manufacturing principles.
Quality Technicians Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with the implementation/maintenance/improvement of quality systems necessary to support ISO 9001 compliance
- Uses precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, bore micrometers, dial indicator height gauge) to ensure that parts meet customer specifications
- Reads and interprets part prints and understands the correlation between the print and critical dimensions upon which Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts are based.
- Records production, material, and quality information on designated operating systems and in accordance with operating procedures. Includes an understanding of the purpose and necessity for accurate record keeping.
- Creates/maintains quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
Quality Technician Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience performing quality functions in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to understand and analyze mathematical concepts.
- Understanding of the use of SPC computer system and the basic principles of our SPC customer requirements is preferred
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, including overtime.
- Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including, but not limited to, continuous standing/walking and occasionally picking up material weighing up to 50 pounds.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
