This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Operations Associate to join our dynamic Tax Department. This position plays a key role in maintaining tax-related operational systems, supporting internal teams, and ensuring data accuracy across several platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with both data and systems that support tax compliance and reporting efforts.

What You'll Do:

* Prepare and submit the Monthly ER FICA Reimbursement Report and manage ER FICA billing.
* Maintain the ER FICA Database, including the input of new accounts and creation of the ER FICA Roster.
* Assist in managing the Tax mailbox, ensuring inquiries are handled promptly.
* Performs tax audits and reconciliations
* Answers telephone calls coming into the Tax Hotline.Receives requests by telephone regarding W2 Form information, Reports or disability/life claims.
* Responds to inquiries from policyholders regarding policy tax set up
* Maintain and update the Return Mail Tracking sheet to ensure timely responses and resolution.
* Coordinate with Iron Mountain for management and scheduling of shred bins.
* Update the Yearly FICA Production Schedule.
* Maintain the Call Database
* Manage the Tax Reporting Print requests.

What you'll bring:

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PDF editing tools, Access and mailbox management.
* Experience in tax operations, accounting, or a related administrative role is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
* Familiarity with FICA processing and tax reimbursement procedures.
* Disability claims knowledge.
* Knowledge of SRO and Adnimsuite (workbench)
* Experience working in a high-volume email and documentation environment.

Pay Transparency

Salary range:$47,500-$80,000

Overtime eligible:Nonexempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
