WOUND CARE NURSE Department: Wound Care Schedule: FT Days 8a-4:30p, Weekdays, Occasional Weekends And Holidays Hospital: Henry Ford Health Genesys Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Education/Experience Requirements Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing Requires BSN, graduation from an approved professional (RN) nursing program. Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA), or Certified Instructor. 3 years of acute care hospital experience. Wound care experience preferred. Good communication skills and desire to educate patients, families, and other associates.
