SA Logistics Analyst

What you will do:

• Provides the most cost-effective, streamlined or least disruptive way to keep our customers in stock on items that we manage.

• Develops and maintains good relations with vendors, carriers, internal and external customers. Collaborates with these parties to understand quality and/or service problems.

• Learns about current market conditions, causal factors (weather, seasonality, etc.), and product availability to properly maintain inventory for our customers and communicates that information with other parties.

• Create and Change system data to support the proper flow of transactions within ERP. This includes material, business partner, plant and dependencies.

• Manages daily transactions as outlined by others including purchase orders (creation, confirmation, monitoring, late delivery resolution, expediting), shipping orders and delivery.

• Assess and supports the execution of buying parameters including, but not limited to, lead time, safety stock, seasonal availability, inbound networks, Import paperwork, etc.

• Develop and maintain accurate statistical forecast that incorporates market intelligence, enterprise strategy and item specific guidelines.

• Responsible for monitoring and supporting department/desk KPIs.

• Supports the execution of product inventory levels of perishable and non-perishable products utilizing parameters set by others.

• Collaborates with others to alleviate issues on dead stock, damages, on hold or missing inventory.

• Performs functions to support vendor scorecards, such as recording on time performance.

• Interacts with appropriate parties including, but not limited to Marketing, Traffic, Logistics, Shipping and Receiving to ensure proper inventory flow to our customers.

• Works directly with customers to resolve opportunities. (General inquiries, Expedited Orders, Returns & Product Issues, etc.).

• Maintains a relationship with public storage facilities and addresses shortages and damaged product. Identifies best practices and continuous improvement.

• Executes projects including, but not limited to, new items, vendor transitions, forward buys, etc.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

When you will work:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

• Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.

What you'll bring to the table:

• Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or other Business related field preferred.

• Minimum of two years previous Logistics or supply chain experience with analytical abilities and working knowledge of the supplier community and the food service industry preferred.

• Ability to work individually or in teams, interact with others across departments/roles, develop relationships, etc.

• Ability to maintain knowledge of the product categories and suppliers to drive business decisions.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.

• Ability to problem solve and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.

• Results oriented with strong determination to succeed.

• Positive attitude with a commitment to learning and desire for personal and professional growth.

• Knowledge of International import laws, government regulations and supply chain principles and techniques including methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.

• Interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Knowledge in Google applications, Microsoft Office, email and internet software applications.

• General working knowledge of logistics /replenishment applications and software.
