Human Resources Intern

Description

The Human Resources Intern will coordinate and execute initiatives, daily tasks and projects, in a fast-paced, real-world environment, with measurable impact on the overall business and the Human Resources function. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. Through this assignment, the candidate will have exposure to a wide range of daily tasks and projects related to HR compliance, recruiting and administrative responsibilities. This position will work 15-20 hours on average, each week.

Specific Duties Include:



  • Assist with recruiting activities and processes.
  • Assist with advertising efforts.
  • Partner with the HR Coordinator on background screening processes to include drug screen, background checks, management notification and all documentation and communication related to these efforts.
  • Provide administrative support duties.
  • Assist with the employee recognition program and other related internal initiatives.
  • Assist the HR team on special projects related to performance management, hiring and training initiatives, web-based performance review process, retention, policy development, and other related efforts.
  • Assist in the development of process, procedure and documentation of HR processes.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.


Job Requirements:



  • Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources.
  • Student should be enrolled in school through December 2025 as a minimum requirement.
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week at our Field Support Office located downtown in Fargo, ND.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
