Director, Financial Analytics

Job Overview:

The Director of Financial Analytics will be responsible for Budgeting / Financial Review & Reporting / Current year Forecast and 5 Year Plan for the Health Care System. This includes working with various levels of management and all finance staff at all facilities throughout the organization to coordinate these projects. Provides direction, education, and promotes efficiency and effectiveness by identifying, analyzing, reporting, and making recommended enhancements and process improvements. Provides tools and/or processes to attain and maintain fiscal standards. Ensures appropriate communication and education for not only the Financial Analytics department but throughout the system on all aspects of the departments projects.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years experience in finance, management, and hospital administration
• Bachelor s Degree in Finance
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and managerial financial techniques
• Entrepreneurial drive, strong leadership skills, exceptional analytical capability to communicate complex issues to wide audiences; effective leader of teams; and proven ability to partner with various business partners
• Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Excel
• Proven ability in preparing budgets/forecasts
• Strong communication and well-established process improvement skills

Preferred:

• Master s Degree

Essential Functions:

• Oversee and manage the department s staff to complete the annual budget, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Directly supervise the Managers in the department and assist in driving processes, suggesting improvements, and meeting deadlines.
• Provide communication, guidance, and education to sites during the monthly financial reporting / budget / forecast processes to ensure they are properly supported.
• Ensure financial variances of all entities are reviewed, understood, and comment collection is completed appropriately, providing education and feedback to site finance and department management teams. Ultimately, ensure that the forecast and budgets are as accurate as possible.
• Provide leadership and education to the department staff ensuring work is distributed appropriately and all processes / tasks are completed timely, with appropriate coverage when necessary.
• Schedule regular meetings with the department Managers to provide feedback on performance and progress.
• Enhance controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
• Participate in Finance department and cross-departmental projects as required
• Support and provide various analysis for the Vice President of Financial Analytics and SVP for Financial Planning & Corporate Services.
