Overview

Rapiscan Systems, designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs and other contraband. Rapiscan Systems security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as airports, border crossings, railway stations, sea ports and terminals, government and military installations and nuclear facilities.

Rapiscan is currently seeking an experienced Repair Depot Supervisor to oversee the repair of Customer owned equipment, sent in from around the US, Canada and Latin America.

**This role is onsite in Andover, MA**


Responsibilities

  • Hire and train repair technicians in the repair center process and data systems used.
  • Oversee the daily activities of repair technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with quality safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used in repair process.
  • Track loaner machines going out to Customer sites ensuring timely return as well as machine testing and repair upon return.
  • Ensure the continuous availability of parts used to repair, working closely with the inventory planning and warehouse team.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory counts as required.
  • Organize the calibration and certification of repair test equipment for traceability.
  • Evaluate the staff, manage timesheets and address any performance issues.
  • Assist technical support and Customers with troubleshooting machines.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly repair center performance metrics.
  • Seek ways to improve repair center efficiency, reduce repair turnaround time, and enhance overall performance.
  • Support the team in repairing machines as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years' supervisory experience
  • 5 years' experience servicing / repairing equipment
  • Strong technical expertise with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers and management
  • High independence and motivation
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal/external resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software applications
  • Solid ERP software experience
