Honors College Job Description
Performs administrative and office support activities for the MU Honors College, including the MedOpp Program and the Fellowships office. The College: The Honors College at the University of Missouri serves roughly 2250 high-achieving undergraduates through a challenging curriculum, academic programs, and extra-curricular events. Among the programs housed within the College, MedOpp serves more than 1500 students per year with general programming and nearly 200 per year in an intensive application and credentialing process. The Fellowships Office serves several hundred students per year. Responsibilities: Duties specifically include scheduling student appointments and other meetings; event planning and coordination; invoicing and fee processing; verbal and written communications with a wide range of constituents, various MU departments and outside vendors, and donors; creating and maintaining databases and rosters; coordination with campus units and programs; selecting and ordering materials; updating various printed materials; administrative assistance for the office; proofreading and editing; general office clerical duties, answering phones, collecting mail; provide other office support and administrative duties as needed and assigned. 20 hours a week between 8-5, specific hours/schedule open to discussion. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
