*Description*
* Serves as the initial line of contact (person/phone/email) for applicants, employees, and managers for a variety of general HR inquiries. * Maintains overall knowledge of all company HR programs, policies and procedures to respond promptly and accurately to HR questions and concerns. * First point of contact for employee relations issues, by conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and implementing effective resolutions. * Support performance management processes which include consulting and advising. * Updates and maintains accurate employee information to document personnel actions and provide information for payroll. * Responsible for setting up new hires, processing job/team/structure changes, salary/grade changes, pay adjustments, terminations, etc. In addition, they will process life events/benefits changes, employee personal information including address and bank account changes, etc. * Completes verification of employment requests for job references, mortgage loans, leases, etc. * Provides first-level support to employees and managers for basic performance management questions. * Assists managers and employees with voluntary termination questions and processes. * Conducts exit interviews with departing employees who voluntarily leave the company. * Completes initial unemployment job separation information for the Colorado Department of Labor. Assists in tracking unemployment claims and payments. * Addresses basic ADAAA questions. Works with Manager of HR on identifying and resolving accommodation requests. * Assists in tracking and addressing first-level questions regarding the company's leave programs such as Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Leave, Domestic Violence Leave, etc. * Manages the company's tuition reimbursement program. Provides managers and employees with general guidance on program policies and procedures and processes tuition reimbursement checks. Maintains usage and expenditure reports. Continually reviews program effectiveness and recommends enhancements. * Responsible for reporting and administration of workers compensation claims. Acts as liaison between injured employee, claims adjuster, medical facility and department manager/supervisor. * Assists in the implementation of safety training programs and monitors compliance. * Ensures compliance with OSHA rules and regulations. * Assists in recruitment activities. Prepares job requisitions, internal and external job postings, conducts pre-screening of candidates and communicates status updates to candidates and hiring managers. * Serves as back-up for setting up pre-employment testing such as language testing with third-party vendors. * Conducts next steps in the recruitment process including background/drug testing, conducting references checks, employment verifications, OIG verifications, and professional license/degree verifications. * Works closely with the Sr. Recruiter and Manager of HR to ensure that salary offers comply with company compensation guidelines and fall within the hiring ranges established by Access Management Services. * Creates offer letters and manages communications with candidates. Serves as back-up for administering the employee referral program and processing employee referral bonus checks. * Serves as back-up for tracking and processing invoices for temporary agencies, background and drug testing vendors, etc. * May conduct orientation and on-boarding activities for temporary employees and contractors. * May conduct new hire orientation activities including compiling new hire packets and processing new hire badges. * Maintains the company's I-9 forms. * Provides oversight in the planning and implementation of company-wide employee engagement activities such as Customer Service Week, Bring Your Child to Work Day, Pancake Breakfast, etc. * Tracks and processes department invoices. Reviews vendor invoices for proper coding and approval prior to payment. Identify and resolve any discrepancies in invoices and supporting documentation. Submits invoices to Accounts Payable for payment. * Performs HR administrative duties including scheduling and organizing meetings, managing meeting logistics, preparing meeting minutes, maintaining HR mailbox, fax and file room, office supplies, etc. * Maintains personnel files in compliance *Qualifications* MUST HAVE * 2-3 years of recent employee relations experience * 5+ years of HR generalist experience for a large organization of at least 300 employees * Experience with leave assistance - FMLA especially * Experience working within a dynamic HR team - can not have been the sole HR person in the dept for a small company, needs to know how to work with VP, Director, and Manager level all within HR dept *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
