Compensation

Salary Range: $39.20 - $56.94 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for ensuring CMH maintains competitive & equitable pay practices by analyzing market data, evaluating internal compensation trends, and supporting the design and administration of pay grade structures. This position is responsible for conducting job evaluations, benchmarking, and providing compensation recommendations that align with organizational goals.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
    Analyze internal & external data to support competitive pay practices and salary structure design
  1. Conducts annual market review and assessment of all company jobs, provides findings and recommendations to management.
  2. Performs benchmark reviews for new positions and aligns them within the pay structure
  3. Partners with recruiting team & Management on compensation offers and pay adjustments to ensure internal equity and company policy is maintained
  4. Participates in industry wide compensation surveys.
  5. Administers the annual increase process, including the calculation of increases and bonuses for staff and management.
  6. Assists in the development & communication of compensation policies and tools
  7. Provides ad-hoc insights & reporting to HR & business leaders to help drive informed compensation decisions
  8. Ensures compliance with Pay Equity Legislation, FLSA, Wage & Hour laws, and internal compensation policies.
  9. Ensures CMH remains compliant with Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs in all compensation practices.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Three (3) years of experience performing compensation analysis
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including Lookups, Pivot Tables, IF/IFs, and Index-Match, with the ability to maintain and update large amounts of data quickly and efficiently
  • Strong data analysis & problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in other MS Office programs including Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of California and Federal labor laws
  • Ability to audit & validate compensation data and calculations

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous healthcare compensation experience
  • Ability to model pay structures and perform cost analysis
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and current Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently in an environment with frequent competing deadlines
