Pay Grade: 17

Reports To: VP, Implementation

Salary: $145000-$160000 / year

Other Forms of Compensation: Bonus Eligible

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Learning and Development to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of learning programs that drive organizational performance and employee growth. This role requires a unique balance of strategic senior leadership and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader who is passionate about cultivating a culture of continuous learning and aligning development initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development (L&D) strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with an internal team members and third-party vendors to co-create, refine, and implement high-quality training materials and learning programs.
  • Lead the design and delivery of leadership development, onboarding, compliance training, skills development, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Act as both a strategic partner to executive leadership and a hands-on contributor in training development and deployment.
  • Identify organizational learning needs through assessments, employee feedback, and performance data.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital learning tools.
  • Partner with senior leaders, operational business partners, and department heads to ensure alignment of learning initiatives with business needs.
  • Measure training effectiveness and business impact through data-driven analysis and KPIs.
  • Stay informed on trends and innovations in L&D and recommend relevant solutions.
  • Manage L&D budget, vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with all training requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in learning and development, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience working directly with third-party learning vendors or consultants.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Strong background in instructional design, adult learning theory, and blended learning approaches.
  • Proficiency in learning technologies, including LMS platforms and e-learning tools.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in using e-Learning software & LMS services such as Articulate, Moodle, or similar technologies.
  • High level proficiency in using MS Office suite & web-based conference services such as WebEx, Teams, and similar technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead others towards a timely completion of projects with both urgent and long-term deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously, while working with multiple levels of key stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP, ATD) are a plus.
