Landmark of Fridley Senior Living is in Fridley, MN, located right off Central Ave and Mississippi Street, at the former home of Sandee's Restaurant. We help seniors Age Magnificently in our 69-unit apartment-style community providing Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services. Our Culinary Director becomes family and impacts the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Senior Living Community. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:
- Practice proper food handling, infection control and safety control methods including hand washing, isolation procedures, fire safety, OSHA and worker's compensation rules and regulations.
- Purchase and check in all food and non-food items.
- Manage inventory weekly.
- Review and adhere to departmental budget.
- Oversee the production and service of food and participate as needed.
- Hire, orientate, train, counsel, and discipline dietary employees.
- Develop work procedures and schedules.
- Evaluate work performance of dietary employees.
- Participate in facility leadership meetings, Interdisciplinary Team meetings, Quality Assurance/Improvement, Care Conferences, and other facility meetings as required.
- Make daily contact with tenants and families.
- Interview tenants and families to ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Nutritional monitoring of tenants through assessments, progress notes and dietary care planning.
- Work in conjunction with facility Consulting Dietitian (where applicable) to assure optimum nutrition is obtained for all residents/tenants.
- Complete documentation as needed.
- Process and review diet orders to ensure compliance with physician orders.
- Must be adaptable, flexible to changes, and able to prioritize and organize work efficiently to accomplish workload within time allotted.
- Maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders such as tenants, their families, staff, and the community.
- Maintain a positive attitude in relation to customer service program.
- Abides by the facility's policies, procedures, and practices.
- Participates in and supports Quality efforts throughout the facility.
- Attends meetings and mandatory in-services.
- Knowledge and adherence to safety/disaster preparedness plan.
- All other duties as needed.

Qualifications
- Must have a current Serve Safe Certification.
- Minimum of one year experience in dietary field is preferred.
- Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
- Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
- Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use
