POSITION TITLE
Environmental, Safety, and Health Affairs (ESHA) Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW
The ESHA Manager is responsible for ensuring environmental, safety, health, and security compliance across the site. This role leads the development, implementation, and oversight of safety programs, regulatory training, emergency preparedness, and incident investigation. The manager works cross-functionally to promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage all ESHA systems and training to comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations (OSHA, EPA, FDEP, etc.).

  • Serve as Chair of the Safety Steering Committee and ensure proper emergency preparedness and incident response across the site.

  • Monitor, audit, and report site safety and environmental compliance; lead corrective action plans and participate in PHA reviews.

  • Collaborate with leadership on associate development, performance reviews, and fostering team morale.

  • Act as Facility Security Officer and co-chair the Pollution Prevention Team; participate in local environmental councils and community outreach.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental, safety, or occupational health, including 1+ year of leadership

  • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience and familiarity with highly hazardous chemicals

The successful candidate will have strengths in the following:

  • Clear, concise communication and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to independently manage projects and lead cross-functional safety initiatives

  • Experience facilitating safety training, PHAs, and compliance audits
