Equipment Technician Shift: 1st, (6am-4:30Pm) Pay: $35/hr (Based on Experience) The Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of diesel-operated vehicles and equipment, including trucks, lift trucks, and other heavy-duty machinery. The position involves approximately 90% diesel-related work and will require technical skill, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Job Description: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. Diagnose issues with brakes, engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and more. Conduct safety inspections and complete maintenance logs and service records. Communicate repair needs and timelines to internal users of vehicles and equipment. Operate and maintain various hand tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment. Conduct welding and metal fabrication as needed for repair and modification. Ensure all repairs are performed in compliance with safety standards. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of technical training in auto/diesel mechanics preferred. Proven experience working on diesel equipment is required. Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic tools. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile/tablet-based software. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
