Senior Accountant

STS Technical Services is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, on-site position that offers the chance to take ownership of core financial processes while driving continuous improvement across our accounting function.

In this role, you'll manage general ledger activities, lead month-end close efforts, and support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and excited about the opportunity to influence financial operations within a dynamic organization.

• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
  
• Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic planning
  
• Maintain, examine, and analyze financial records and transactions in accordance with GAAP and company procedures
  
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support
  
• Perform additional accounting duties and projects as assigned
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is a plus
  
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and compliance tasks
  
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
