The Opportunity

We are seeking a Management Reporting & Analysis Analyst to join our Firm. Within this position, you will contribute to providing financial intelligence to partners as well as executive and professional management for facilitating informed, strategic decision-making. This position will be based in our New York office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

As the Management Reporting & Analysis Analyst you will:

  • Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of statistical information measuring office, practice, attorney, and client performance for financial and management reporting.
  • Participate in the monthly reporting process with a focus on identifying and analyzing key Firm metrics to support financial presentations.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the data that is provided, understand where the data came from, and determine the accuracy of the information.
  • Ensure that current and accurate documentation is maintained and perform all appropriate testing of new and current reports and applications.
  • Provide analysis, definition, and direction to computer-related development and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure consistency of terminology and methodology across all practice analysis reports.
  • Support IT in testing and implementing financial system upgrades.
  • Perform a variety of ad-hoc financial analysis across the Firm, as directed by department senior staff.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Manage Firm resources responsibly.
  • Comply with and understand Firm operation, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures including financial statement analysis
  • High level computer literacy in MS Office Suite of tools (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability and flexibility to learn new software and operating systems
  • Knowledge of Aderant, Oracle SmartView, and Financial Reporting Studio preferred
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of one year related experience

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

$75,000 - $85,000
