Job Overview: Lead maintenance department maximizing equipment and infrastructure reliability. Coordinate and supervise the activities of maintenance technicians. Schedule preventive maintenance and work orders, manage inventory of supplies and spare parts, and troubleshoot facility systems and equipment. Train personnel on monitoring and maintaining equipment, grounds and infrastructure. Interact with people effectively, receiving and sharing information and supporting group decisions. Objectives: The objective of this role is to supervise, perform, and support maintenance and repair operations throughout the company, reporting directly to the facilities manager. Responsibilities: Supervisory / Leadership
- Assign responsibilities and tasks to technicians based on priority, workload and skill level in an efficient manner.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure that safety and production operations are maintained.
- Assist maintenance personnel with the performance of preventive maintenance tasks and other repairs that will expedite the startup of shutdown equipment.
- Manage CMMS system including asset management, work order assignments and PM schedules.
- Manage predictive and preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime and OEE.
- Establish, evaluate and monitor team performance. Assist with the development and execution of training plans as required.
- Mentor the technicians helping to aid in their skills growth. Address areas for improvement and offer assistance as required.
- Maintain a healthy work culture within the department by setting the expectations of the technicians and performing regular follow-ups.
Maintenance
- Perform and supervise the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility systems.
- Perform and supervise the organization and cleanliness of the maintenance shop, setting expectations and responsibilities.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in the plant as they arise daily and lead problem-solving efforts.
- Maintain working order of equipment and manage any contractors who perform repairs and PM's.
- Manage parts inventory ensuring appropriate stock levels, proper labeling, and storage.
- Coordinate with department supervisors and vendors to ensure the timely availability of resources, tools, and spare parts.
- Ensure that all maintenance requests are logged, tracked, and resolved within specified timeframes.
Collaboration, Innovation, and Process Improvement
- Communicate instructions, feedback, and technical information clearly and concisely to team members, management, and other departments.
- Inspire and motivate the team to achieve common goals creating a successful maintenance operation.
- Represent the maintenance department in production and quality meetings.
- Promote and enforce workplace safety standards.
- Be self-aware and have a good sense of perception by others. Interact with people effectively - be willing to share, receive information and support group decisions.

Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and the use of hands for tasks such as repairs and troubleshooting.
