HarcoSemco is a Custom Aerospace Components Manufacturer. We have seen great success in innovating advanced manufacturing techniques in the design and fabrication of temperature sensors, thermocouple systems, interconnect cable-harness assemblies, probes, and sensors. For over 65 years, we have successfully supplied these products to the commercial, business, military jet, rotor, and spacecraft markets.

Located in Branford, CT, we have an opportunity for a results-driven and growth-oriented Customer Account Manager (CAM). The CAM
works collectively with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to increase sales through quoting, pricing analysis, cross-selling, and communicating with the customer base. In addition, the CAM estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on RFP's (Request for Proposal) data submitted by prospective customers. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 CFR 120.62, 15 CFR 734.2(b)(2)(ii), 10 CFR 810.3, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) is required. "US Person" includes a US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Process incoming purchase order requirements, interfacing with production planning and departmental production manager/supervisor.
  • Act as a customer support liaison for delivery scheduling, complaints, order writing, and repairs.
  • Quote pricing to customers for new and/or existing products.
  • Manage the contract review process within the Business Unit, including interaction with all support functions as it pertains to the requirements of the documents.
  • Process orders for HarcoSemco LLC products by conferring with technical/engineering personnel and costing engineering changes.
  • Address customer needs for shipping, including using and navigating customer portals, interacting with HarcoSemco shipping teams.
  • Prepare Repair Station reports, quotations, warranty explanations, and answers by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information.
  • Interpret RFQ requirements from customer drawings and specifications.
  • Must be able to travel both international and domestic up to 10%



Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be knowledgeable of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, BOMS, and other methods used in the product manufacturing
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Applications which include but aren't limited to Word, Power Point, Excel, and interaction with customer portals.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone, and in writing.
  • Ability to examine customer order trends by reviewing past sales, back log, and current lead times for future planning purposes.
  • Provide pricing support by performing analysis and evaluation of new and existing price models.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress.
  • Accuracy, multi-task and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.



Qualifications & Experience


  • BA or BS degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred, or 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and/or equivalent.
  • Strongly prefer at least three years in Sales Administration and Contract Administration.
  • Customer interaction / management preferred
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.



Physical Demands & Work Environment


  • Typical office environment, with controlled temperatures.
  • May be exposed to routine noise from the manufacturing plant floor.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend, and grasp equipment, tools, or inventory.
  • Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary when working in areas on the manufacturing plant floor
